We've moved... not that it really matters, I don't update often enough to make it worth while... but that is how things are... and it's a work in progress so bare with me...

according to myspace.com, having sex three times a week for a year is the same as running 75 miles... I am all for exercise

in case you're wondering thats about .48 miles, three times a week.... i think the first alternative is a lot more entertaining...

The C-Store here really needs to stock better stuff... I bought a box of animal crackers, the box said "do not eat if seal is broken." I opened it up and sure enough... all the other animals were fine but that damnded seal...

so, tori spent most of last night talking to everyone’s favorite blast from the past Timothy, and apparently, although i didn't know it then, Mr. Nieder. now tori maintains that she is feeling all sorts of closure and relief and a multitude of other warm fuzzy feelings about the whole thing and doesn't seem to understand why the entire thing upsets me, a lot. the past is the past, simple as that, we'd all moved on from all of that things were bad, and now they aren't, why bring them up again? all it will do is make people angry (look it worked). yes, these people happened. yes, they had an impact out our current out look on life. yes they have had a bearing on why tori and i are together today. that said, they were also the cause of the worst times in either or our lives, causing untold emotional turmoil and general disquieting of our lives. why then would one expect further conversation with them to yield anything other than more of the problems they have already caused? it doesn't really matter i guess, i, like so many other times, am wrong about this. tori should be allowed to consort with whom ever she like, especially people who will make her feel all warm and fuzzy inside. we'll ignore the fact that all instances of this in the past have resulted in complete and utter DISASTER, that's not important...

Crystal is getting married...I'm not sure what I feel about that. For those of you who don't know, Crystal is what I suppose would be called my 'first love.' Well, I thought I was in love, she wasn't so sure. Regardless she was the main reason that I pulled my nose out of a book long enough to look around and see that there is a world out there and that it is worth living in and for that I am forever grateful. She moved away to Louisiana between freshman and sophomore year, I was devastated of course but I managed to get over it. Really, if it weren't for Crystal and her socializing affect on me I don't think I would have ever bit the bullet and asked Tori out, hypothetically of course...

Their wedding has a webpage check it out...

I have a question, largely philosophical in nature but having a very important real world application. If some educational bureaucracy were to make a significant snafu (as bureaucracies tend to do) involving some important aspect of you records, say spontaneously dropping you from a class, a bio class perhaps, for no apparent reason, would it not be prudent to seek out the cause and attempt to remedy that problem as soon as possible (i.e., immediately)? Even at the expense of arriving late to a job you are holding down largely to supplement your own desire for the amassment material possessions (despite the political position you maintain that disdains the practice), especially considering the fact that your employer is a family friend who would understand that you were on business regarding your education? This course of action would seem especially sensible when you consider that the main reason for this education you are getting, and fighting with the bureaucracy over, will serve the express purpose of qualifying for a career so you don’t have to work for family friends and $8.00 and hour forever.

I’m not sure, does all of that seem reasonable to all of you cyber-spacers? Hard to say really…

So, having just returned from a fabulous week on the gorgeous gulf of California with Tori and many of Tori's family and family friends I return to my humble dorm flat to find good news, then some bad news that turned out to be good news.

Good news number one:
My mailbox was positively brimming (which is always a lovely feeling). I have received another three of my textbooks bringing my total up to 4; I predict that at least two more will be arriving tomorrow. However, more importantly I got a very official looking envelope from UCR housing services. Short story: I got a place to live next year!!!!... that is a major load off my back.

Bad news number one that turned into Good news number two:
Since before taking my very enjoyable jaunt south of the boarder heralded the end of my second quarter at this hallowed establishment of learning I immediately delved on to the annoyingly sluggish iGrades site to discover, much to my horror, that I had only earned a C- in my ANTH class. OMG. But not to despair, being the sort that likes to verify things this surprising I get a reassuring message on the class webpage. There was an egregious error in the grade posting and I actually got a 97% in the class. Much better. The amended grades give me a total GPA of 3.7000, most exciting.

So basically it has been a very good week. An excellent spring break with Tori in a bikini on the beach, a little **censored for Tori's sake**, good grades, an apartment for next year. I could definitely have done worse...
